Plastic Pallet Manufacturing Excellence: Inside IntracoPallet’s QA & Awards

IntracoPallet awards and certifications

Every hour, thousands of tonnes of goods move through global logistics networks, encompassing everything from frozen foods and pharmaceuticals to electronics and industrial components.

The worldwide movement of goods relies on a robust foundation capable of withstanding repeated handling, racking, and transportation — the plastic pallet.

Consider this: The global plastic pallet market is estimated to be valued at approximately USD 8.8 billion in 2025, with a forecast to reach USD 15.4 billion by 2035. This market growth is propelled by increasing adoption of plastic pallets driven by benefits such as improved hygiene, enhanced durability, and heightened sustainability across industries like food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and retail¹.

Additionally, the global logistics market, the broader context for pallets, is projected to expand significantly, with an expected valuation surpassing USD 8 trillion by 2030². This growth is supported by factors including globalisation of trade, rising e-commerce volumes, and demand for faster delivery times, all underscoring the critical need for durable, efficient material handling solutions like plastic pallets.

At IntracoPallet, we top-quality plastic pallets to be a measurable result of engineering precision and process control.

Since starting up in 1994, we have grown into Malaysia’s leading manufacturer of plastic pallets, producing more than 4.5million units every year. Based in Kuala Lumpur, we serve industries that demand consistency, hygiene, and durability at scale.

Every pallet that leaves our facility is tested under stringent quality standards, load and impact trials, and sustainability checks aligned with the GRS (Global Recycled Standard) and SMETA standards. Through these efforts, and with multiple recognitions for export excellence, product innovation, and environmental leadership, we continue to set the benchmark for warehouse solutions across Asia.

Quality that begins with design and testing

At IntracoPallet, quality doesn’t happen by chance – it begins with rigorous testing and design. Each product starts with random raw material qualification and testing, as all good products stem from quality raw materials.

The next step involves precision CAD modelling and flow simulation analysis, ensuring optimal material distribution in every rib and joint. This engineering process helps us create pallets that can endure heavy loads without compromising on weight efficiency.

Once in production, every batch is governed by our BS EN ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, which ensures dimensional accuracy and consistency across thousands of units. At the same time, our adherence to BS EN ISO 14001:2015 guarantees that manufacturing remains environmentally responsible, minimising waste and energy consumption.

Furthermore, we go beyond the standard tests required in the industry. Each design undergoes deflection, impact, and static load assessments to ensure it performs reliably, whether used in pharmaceutical facilities, automated warehouses, or export logistics. This multi-layered approach allows us to deliver products that are not just strong but dependable over years of use.

Precision manufacturing at scale

As one of the largest South East Asian manufacturers of plastic pallets, we understand that scaling production must never mean compromising control. That is why we combine high-pressure injection moulding with automated inspection systems to maintain uniformity in every pallet. Even a millimetre of deviation can affect warehouse automation systems, and we ensure that never happens.

Moreover, we operate under a closed-loop recycling system, reclaiming both rejected components and used materials. These are processed and reintegrated into new products, helping us reduce waste and maintain compliance with Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification.

Additionally, we’ve doubled down on our commitment to Operation Clean Sweep (OCS) by installing filters in our factory compound to ensure zero leakages throughout the pallet manufacturing process.

All of this means that we aren’t only producing more efficiently, but also more sustainably.

So, whether you need lightweight shipping pallets or a heavy duty pallet for high-rack storage, our precision-driven process ensures the same level of performance, reliability, and environmental accountability.

Recognised and certified for excellence

We believe recognition should be earned, not claimed. Our facilities and products are validated through internationally recognised certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and GRS, and are SMETA, GMP, HACCP, RoHS compliant with. Our pallets also come with the SIRIM Eco-label and are aligned with MyHijau.

These certifications serve as evidence of how seriously we take product safety, sustainability, and ethical manufacturing. Because of these high standards, we have been honoured with the SME Export Excellence Award, SME Green Excellence Award, and MIHAS Product Excellence Award.

Together, these achievements highlight our long-standing commitment to producing recyclable plastic pallets that meet global performance expectations while supporting responsible business practices.
